My name is Hélène Somdecoste.
I have always loved bringing numbers to life and make them “speak” by transforming meaningless data into accurate reporting. What can I say, I am a numbers person!
It recently came to our minds that what we are passionate about, many people find it being a painful, time consuming exercise… So, the Excel Fairy idea was born!
How it started…
I started working with Excel during my first job, when I was still studying for my Masters degree. At that time, I knew very little about the most popular spreadsheet software and had to learn Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs and later on Macros as I was being asked to perform more and more in depth tasks.
After I graduated from my Masters degree in France I flew all the way to New-Zealand to join my partner, who at this time was still studying at AUT University. I have been working in New Zealand for 3 years now, and have been lucky enough to always work in an environment when I could develop my Excel skills.
With his help, I am now ready to share some of that knowledge and hopefully make your lives better.
